A beautifull deset city is the name given to Jaisalmer. Another great place in the state of Rajasthan. Situated near the Indo pak border it is a great place to visit. JAIPUR

One of the best places to be in Indian Sub continent is Rajasthan. GANGOTRI (BIRTH OF GANGA)

GANGOTRI TEMPLE

Gangotri, the origin of the sacred river Ganges, attracts tourists in large numbers every year. The confrontation with the daunting rivers and attempts to unravel the mysteries of the supernatural world are ubiquitous sights here. Along with the thrill of conquering nature, what one experiences here is the mystical aura that India is so famous for.

Gangotri is at an altitude of 3048 meters above sea level. It is on the northernmost part of the state of Uttar Pradesh and is very near the Indo-Tibetan border. It is approximately 300 km from Dehradun, 250 km from Rishikesh and 105 km from Uttarkashi. The summers are relatively cool and winters are freezing cold, with rains in the months of May and June. For the devotees and tourists, the gates of the temple are open only in the months of May to November.

JIM CORBETT NATIONAL PARK

Jim Corbett National Park is the first wildlife reserve of India, extending over an area of more than 500 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. Corbett National Park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. Later it has changed to Ramganga and finally Jim Corbett National Park in the honor of legendary hunter-turned- conservationist, best known for hunting man-eating tigers and leopards in the Kumaon and lower Garhwal in the 1920s.

The park is known for its varied wildlife, and as the site for the launching of Project Tiger. Corbett National Park was one of the nine tiger reserves created at the launch of the Project Tiger in 1973.

DALHOUSIE

Himachal Pradesh has become India’s most popular hill resort owing to its easy accessibility and diversity of hill stations which are known for cool and salubrious climes, seats of much worshipped religious deities and adventure sports. Dalhousie is one such hill station which is increasingly becoming popular among home and foreign tourists. Nestled on the spur at the western end of Dhauladhar, Dalhousie in its present shape was founded in 1850’s when the British acquired five hills from the ruler of the Chamba State for developing the area as a sanatorium. The project originated with Lt. Col. Napier, then Chief Engineer of Punjab; (‘afterwards Lord Napier of Magdala”).
